Tour Overview

An enchanting journey through the heart of Northeast India awaits on this meticulously crafted 7-day Arunachal Pradesh itinerary. Serving as the ultimate gateway to tribal culture, pristine landscapes, and spiritual sanctuary, this route seamlessly connects the plains of Assam to the snowcapped heights of the Eastern Himalayas. Your trip begins in Guwahati, tracing the path uphill to Bhalukpong, the scenic entry point to Arunachal Pradesh. As you ascend, the air grows crisper and the landscapes transform. The journey onward to Dirang introduces you to the region’s rich biodiversity at the Tipi Orchid Centre and offers a step back in time at the ancient Thembang Heritage Village. Dirang itself serves as a tranquil haven, where visitors can explore high-altitude yak breeding centers, seek panoramic views at Mandala Top, and unwind in therapeutic natural hot springs. The drive from Dirang to Tawang is arguably one of the most spectacular road trips in India. Traversing the formidable Sela Pass—situated at a breathtaking 13,700 feet—the route is dotted with iconic landmarks including the mystical Jang Falls and the historic Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Tawang serves as the crown jewel of this itinerary. An early morning excursion leads to the high-security Bumla Pass on the Indo-China border and the serene, high-altitude Madhuri Lake (Sangestar Tso). Rich in Tibetan Buddhist heritage, the region’s spirituality is further explored as you wind down through the monastic hubs of Bomdila, the hidden gem of Shergaon, and the uniquely structured Chillipam Monastery. Perfect for adventure seekers, cultural enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike, this road trip offers an unforgettable escape into India’s land of the rising sun.
